Curve Tracer article

Looking at the always interesting Bunker of DOOM site:

http://bunkerofdoom.com/

I spotted this curve tracer article:

http://bunkerofdoom.com/lit/semico/Transistor_and_FET_Curve_Tracer_Daniel_Metzger_Electronics_World_August_1971.pdf

from this page:

http://bunkerofdoom.com/lit/semico/index.html

A smaller sized file of the article:

https://www.epanorama.net/sff/Test_equipment/Tracers/Transistor%20And%20FET%20Curve%20Tracer.pdf

The entire issue of the magazine:

https://www.worldradiohistory.com/Archive-Electronics-World/70s/1971/Electronics-World-1971-08.pdf

see letters on page 6 about the article:

https://www.worldradiohistory.com/Archive-Electronics-World/70s/1971/Electronics-World-1971-11.pdf

The thing that makes this curve tracer article so interesting is that it seems quite simple

.  The only red flags are the unijunction transistors, while they can still be purchased on ebay they aren't cheap.

As might be expected there are many curve tracer projects on the internet so lots of avenues to be investigated.  Oh well, probably just another technical diversion that will never be followed through - at least by me :)
