That time Hitler's girlfriend visited Iceland on a ship called The Milwaukee

This caught my eye mainly because:

1) I grew up in Milwaukee
2) I now live on an island with many people of Icelandic heritage

Not exactly sure why the Germans named their ship: Milwaukee but as I said, it caught my eye.

August 1939 must have been a really weird time, like being one step away from falling off an enormous cliff but not knowing it.
