I remember reading this comment by Stewart Brand in the Whole Earth Catalog:
The dolphins went back, and they're doing all right.
Before watching this NOVA I never realized that whales and hippos evolved from a common land ancestor though, interesting.
Also, I gotta get on ebay and buy some Edwin Tunis books, those drawings were magical.
