Yet another ham radio accessory packaged in a phenolic box with a metal top plate
I know I'm the only one who likes these but here is another phenolic (Bakelite) box / metal top ham radio item - this technique takes us back to the postwar era. As long as everything can be accessed via the top it works well. If a cable or a jack needs to be routed through the back or sides of the box it doesn't work as well (with the flying leads).

This appears to be a Davies 220 phenolic box. In the lighting of the photo it appears that the fasteners have been torqued down so that the metal top is slightly distorted ! Behold the awesome power of ham radio equipment sellers !
