But of course I noticed the radio:

Tony doesn't have to crowd the mic, he just projects as from the stage.

Truthfully I didn't watch the whole movie - the weirdest thing was seeing the actor, Jack Hawkins.  He had quite a famous face, appearing in movies like Lawrence of Arabia and Bridge on the River Kwai.  But by 1971 he had endured throat cancer which took his voice - in this movie his voice is dubbed by another actor - very strange.
