Fake Fuses !

Now even fuses are fake ! I have mentioned the fake chips that I've encountered before:

One reason why this interested me was that I had purchased one bag of these:

The Littelfuse 257 specs:

Now I never actually tested the fuses - I had intended on giving them out as freebies with orders but never quite got around to it. Now after seeing the video I'm glad I never gave them out. The fuses are NOS so they look a little grungy but they appear to be genuine.
Since most of the power supplies I have are for QRP rigs I had to get out my MFJ-4225MV power supply but couldn't get the 10A fuse to blow, the MFJ seems to foldback limit the current too quickly ?
I did see a flash but it wasn't the fuse, the fuse was fine.
At first I had tried my banana plug test leads with alligator clips (from the now defunct BG Micro) but the wires are apparently too skinny and the fuse just barely saw 10A on the MFJ supply meter and didn't blow - the test leads got nicely warm though !
So I think I'll just put the fuses back into a box and maybe someday my heirs will do something with them :)
I did get the bug to do something about the MFJ supply fan noise, my next order to Mouser will include a 16 dba fan, whatever that really means but it was the quietest of the 9 squillion fans they sell. Then I took the cover off the MFJ supply, yikes ! It looks like a huge amount of work just to get at the screws holding the fan.
So I will put the cover back on, remove the fan from the Mouser order and again, put the power supply back in the box with the fuses and leave them both for my heirs to do with as they please !
